Taojyo-Ato (The ruins of Tao Castle)

This ruins of Tao Castle lies on the summit of Mt. Shiroyama at the altitude of 460 meters. It was the historic battlefield where the local warriors fought gloriously against the advancing army of Chosogabe in the 5th year of Tensho Period (1577).

Get off at Ikawa-Ikeda IC→Take the National route 32 bound for Kochi→Take the National route 319 bound for Shingu→Take the Municipal road→Taojyo-Ato（Journey time is approx. 45 minutes by car.）　 From JR Awa-Kawaguchi St., takes approx. 15 minutes by car.
