Ikeda Awa Odori Dance Festival

The 2024 Ikeda Awa Odori Dance Festival will begin with a pre-festival on the night of August 13th and continue for four nights until the 16th. During the main event, dance groups from both within and outside the city will dance energetically to the beat, adding vibrant colors to Ikeda's nights.

One of the charms of Ikeda Awa Odori is that you can watch the dance literally in the front row, feeling the beat with your own body. In the parade dances on Ekimae Street and Sakaemachi Street, as well as the circle dances in the station plaza, you can enjoy dynamic male dances and graceful female dances up close.

Additionally, there are audience seats set up on Sakaemachi Street where spectators can sit comfortably and leisurely enjoy the performances. Furthermore, at Hesokko Park, each dance group will take turns to showcase the dances on the stage.
